Tag or label for images in montage

how to add label for the individual images in montage??

You will probably have to burn it to the image itself. The montage function does not serve the same purpose as subplots.

If you have the Computer Vision Toolbox, use insertText().

If you don't have the Computer Vision toolbox, you can also use my text2im function to convert text into an image.
