plot a function with 3 variables

hey guys! I need to plot a function f(x,y,z) so that to see where it is minimised, but I want to see x,y,z and the value of the function Does anyone have any idea of what I have to do?

MATLAB does not have great volume visualization capability, not like Avizo for example. To see the intensity at a certain (x,y,z) location in 3D space, you can use slice() to create cut-away views. Otherwise you can use a true volume visualization program like Avizo.
