Hi all,
I have this .CSV file (attached) where I need to group and compute the average value from the information from the first column. Precisely, I need to group all 08T into one group, 07T into one group etc (05T, 04T) and compute the average from third column.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

I didn't look at the data, but you might want to look at splitapply() and findgroups().

Hi Image Analyst thanks. I will look into the mentioned functions. Also, i have realised that time format is different from dd-mm-yyyy and I need to either read them in the standard format or converting it into unique date-time format.
Is there a way I can combine the consecutive time for the same day (which are spread in different columns) and just bring it as, start and end time for the same day. I can then group or bring all the events in third column into one row as well.
Thanks

Hello,
From my understanding, you want to extract only some row and column values from a .csv file and perform some manipulations on the retrieved data.
The contains() function can be used to check if a specific pattern is present in the given string.
Te following answers from the community might help you in understanding how to extract and work on data basing on specific conditions from a .csv file.
