We're here to show that programming low-cost hardware with Simulink can be fun! We understand that picking up the Simulink low-cost hardware Support Packages can be a challenge for first-timers.

Our projects range from easy-medium-difficult level and aim to remove the early roadblocks that come with trying something new. They contain full model files, component libraries and step by step documentation with pictures.

At this early stage we will be focusing on Simulink Support Package for Arduino.

However, I have no concrete proof yet, that these could help directly in those areas, but atleast, that has been my background thinking.

Daniel Auger is Professor of Electrification, Modelling and Control at Cranfield University. He is an expert in control systems, vehicle electrification and modelling. He has pioneered advanced battery management algorithms for lightweight lithium-sulfur batteries. He has also introduced new state-of-the-art MSc teaching in applied control engineering and launched a new course in connected and autonomous vehicle engineering. Before joining Cranfield, Daniel worked in senior control engineering roles in BAE Systems and MathWorks Consulting Services. He continued his studies at the School of Medicine of the same University until 2003, where he obtained the M.Sc. in Medical Informatics. In 2008, he obtained the Ph.D. in Informatics entitled as "Digital Processing Techniques in Speech Emotion Recognition" at the Computer Science faculty of the same University. He served in the Army during 2008-2009. He has been awarded the ERCIM fellowship for 2009-2011. My primary research interests are in the area of pattern recognition and machine learning. Within these areas, my work focuses on developing novel strategies to formalize, explain and visualize the pattern in data. My work encompasses different case studies. I worked on many aspects of feature selection in machine learning introducing the concept of graph-based feature selection. Such a framework is prone to parallelization making this family of algorithms highly scalable (i.e., suitable for Big Data analysis). Another important aspect I dealt with is the real-time factor of such techniques. This framework turns out to be also suitable for visual object tracking, demonstrating to improve tracking performance while maintaining high frame rates. Finally, I have also worked on soft-biometrics by taking into account user-centric aspects, such as personality.
