MathWorks' Creative Services team consists of project managers/scrum masters, visual designers, writers/editors, video producers, and web developers. The Creative Operations Manager oversees the team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters who manage all aspects of marketing communication projects, from intake through to final production. This position will ensure cross-functional teams leverage Agile methodologies to ensure projects meet business objectives as efficiently as possible. 

Responsabilidades

  • Effectively manage and coach five direct reports, provide growth opportunities that align with career goals, conduct performance reviews, develop objectives, etc.  
  • Utilize operational best practices, Agile principles, so teams can deliver creative design/content development across all forms of media 
  • Understand and implement Business Process Improvement methods to optimize the collaboration between Project Managers/Scrum Masters, business partners, and Agile teams 
    • Coach team members on BPI Methodologies 
      • Lean – Encourage team to identify and eliminate waste in processes 
      • Six Sigma – Train team on using data-drive techniques to reduce defects in processes 
    • Audit processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks 
    • Gather insights from team members, business partners on areas of improvement 
    • Document new processes and conduct training to ensure adherence to evolving processes. 
    • Foster a team culture of innovation and continuous improvement to motivate process enhancements. 
  • Collaborate with other Creative Services Managers and product owners to determine teams' current capacity vs. staffing levels required to meet demands 
    • Collaborate with the Events Product Owner to strategize team capacity planning, ensuring effective management of simultaneous global events throughout the year 
  • Provide mentorship to Project Managers supporting our large events across the globe. 
    • Implement and manage event calendar in partnership with event stakeholders 
    • Understand business needs and explore their underlying motivations. 
    • Navigate and negotiate with event stakeholders in relationship to timeline and deliverables using fact-based decisions 
    • Recommend informed alternatives to team members and business partners 
    • Build strong relationship with business partners particularly in field marketing to understand their business goals and objectives  
  • Identify best practices for using Jira and other project management tools to manage work across multiple teams. 
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies to provide coaching to scrum masters, agile team members and business partners.  

Cualificaciones mínimas

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. 2 years management experience is required.

Cualificaciones adicionales

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field  
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, operations, creative services and/or project management  
  • Experience managing a team and optimizing business processes and workflows 
  • Proficiency in Business Process Improvement methods – Lean, Six Sigma 
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and knowledge of Jira/Confluence 
  • Experience supporting large events (physical, hybrid and virtual) 
  • Fluency in both digital and traditional marketing media/channels  
  • Exceptional organizational skills, critical thinking and attention to detail  
  • Ability to present business recommendations and provide rationale  
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
